  • Designing of an efficientMac Layer Protocol for Mobile Ad-hoc Network

Guide

M.Tech Project Description

  • Directional antennas have been proposed to improve theperformance and capacityof a Wireless MAC protocols for usein Mobile Ad hoc Networks.Such antennas focus their beams in the direction of their receiver, allowing more of the signalpower to beused inthe direction of the transmission and simultaneously reducing the interference in other directions. However, several challenges and designissues arise that have no counterpart in omni–directionalantennas.Asa result, a large numberof directional Medium Access Control protocols have been proposed. Designing anefficient MAClayer protocol with directional antenna is our main purpose.
