The promoting body of VVIT is Vidya Vihar Educational Trust. Its trustees are running through Netarhat Alumni Educational Trust an English Medium, fully Residential School, named - Vidya Vihar Residential School at Parora, Purnea with affiliation from CBSE. The school was started in 1996 and in this short span of time- it has created a benchmark for others to follow. The alumni of Netarhat School, the Gurukul of modern India, are widely acknowledged as great intellectual assets of the country and have created a space of their own around the world. They are endowed with a large number of distinguished professionals and experts who have made mark both in public and private sectors of the global economy. To contribute to State’s prosperity in token of what the people of the state have sacrificed in recognition of their merit has been their grateful concern. Therefore, the promoting body has formed a Project Management Committee (PMC) under the chairmanship of Shri P. C. Verma, B. Tech. (Chem. Engg.), IIT Bombay with extensive work experience in public, private and cooperative groups such as Sarabhai, NEPA Paper mills, Aditya Birla Group, NDDB Associates etc. with other highly motivated and able members committed to ensure the growth of VVIT true to the expectations of the common man of the State. Vidya Vihar Residential School was the first ISO 9001: 2000 certified educational institution of Bihar. A comparative study of the results of the last 8 years is given below
Vidya Vihar also takes active participation in philanthropic activities. It has undertaken free distribution of dresses, blankets, copies, pencils etc. for the students of Ramanandi Devi Hindu Anathalay, Nathnagar, Bhagalpur. It also undertook installation of Water supply facilities in Govt. Middle School Parora as a token of respect to His Excellency Shri Gopal Gandhi the Hon’ble Governor of Bihar who visited Vidya Vihar in 2006-07 during his tour to Purnea.
